The 2021 results of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® have been announced. And for a third straight year, AEBetancourt made the West Michigan list!

If you’re keeping track, or maybe just a little confused by all our recent awards, here’s a brief recap. Each April, the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) names the regional Best & Brightest Companies to Work For®. AEBetancourt has earned this recognition for the West Michigan region in 2019, 2020, and now 2021.

Near the end of each calendar year, companies can elect to be considered for a national ranking with winners announced at the beginning of the following year. In this field, AEBetancourt has not only been recognized among theBest and Brightest Companies to Work For® in the nation, but has ranked in the Top 101 companies for 2019 and 2020, and will soon submit our entry for consideration again this year.

This recognition was on top of being named one of the fastest growing businesses in the Midwest region by Inc. Magazine just last month.

How the Best & Brightest Companies are Selected

Individual companies are initially nominated for review by company employees, peers, or customers. A third-party research firm then anonymously surveys the employees of each company for insight and feedback to understand the real working conditions and culture of the nominated company.

An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry, based on various categories. These include:

  • Compensation
  • Benefits and Employee Solutions
  • Employee Enrichment
  • Engagement and Retention
  • Employee Education and Development
  • Recruitment
  • Selection and Orientation
  • Employee Achievement and Recognition
  • Communication and Shared Vision
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Community Initiatives
  • Strategic Company Performance

With over 20 years of experience conducting the Best and Brightest competitions, the NABR has identified numerous best Human Resource practices and provided benchmarking for companies that continue to be leaders in employment standards.

In a public statement, Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO of the Best and Brightest Programs said, “Throughout the year, the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® have demonstrated leadership and forward thinking as they pivoted their business and workforce through Covid-19. As the conversation and focus has shifted, our Best and Brightest winning companies have also been a voice for important actions regarding race relations employee wellbeing. In these unique times, the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® excel and share their knowledge with others.”
